MGM College of Arts and Science, which began with a few students in the year 2015 with a disparate vision affiliated to the University of Kerala stepped into its sixth year with the reckoning reputation of being one of the most esteemed Self Financing Arts and Science College in Travancore city. It is situated amidst the beautiful landscape of Kaniyapuram Panchayath, which enjoys the bigotry of Mother Nature, 3kms away from Kazhakootam, the bustling IT hub of Trivandrum. The college spread over a massive 14 acres of land equipped with state-of-the-art labs, playgrounds, resourceful library, an auditorium being done with a seating capacity of 700-800 students with proper ventilation , will definitely facilitates to enhance the learning process and also serves varied requirements of quality and healthy education.
The college offers 6 UG Courses, 1 PG Course and other Skill based orientation programmes which have high potential, with the aim of making students employable, self-employable or becoming entrepreneurs. Our commendable teaching standards are reflected in the highly positive response from the beneficiaries and stakeholders. In the wake of COVID -19 pandemic, our faculties put on the best of their efforts to impart the lesson to children through the video portal VIMEO. Through this teachers succeeded in riveting that the children never got reclused from a classroom feel and were able to accomplish the portions on the dot.

The day to day functions of the college is managed by Geevaghese Yohannan Charitable Trust, Registered under the provisions of Indian Trust Act, 1882 for an unlimited period. The trust is a council chaired by Chairman and supported by Vice-Chairman. All the management decisions are subject to the approval of the Trust. The important circulars for the college will be initiated from Trust Office. The routine functions of the college are managed by the office maintained at college. The academic functions are regulated by the Principal in consultation with the Trust Office.

BA English Literature 
B.Com Co-operation
BBAThe Department of English was established in 2015, the same year in which MGM College was born. Our department since 2015 is immensely trying to bring out scintillating talents in literature among the students.
The Department offers a three year Under Graduation Degree Program in English Language and Literature in accordance with the restructured curriculum of Kerala University.
At the UG level, the course offers diverse papers which ranges from genre based to interdisciplinary.The dynamic faculty members of our department succour the students in nurturing a propensity in both language and literature. Also exciting their fathomless zest in knowing the subject as well as enhancing their critical and analytical ability.
B.Com Co-operation is an undergraduate course offered by University of Kerala, now under Choice Based Credit and Semester System(CBCS). This course aims at establishing basics of Commerce with co-operative sector knowledge. B.Com with co-operation is one of the famous graduation with peculiar career opportunities in and outside Kerala. We are pioneers in serving the course with best skills and best faculty members.
B.Com with Computer Application (B.Com CA) is an undergraduate course offered by University of Kerala, now under Choice Based Credit and Semester System(CBCSS). B.Com CA expands Commerce with Computer Application, designed to fulfil the goals of students with the objective of learning upcoming trends in commerce with sufficient knowledge in computer. It requires Practical Examination for the successful completion. We serving the course in most expected way with some value additions
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)is an under graduate course offered by University of Kerala under Choice Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS). It enhances the managerial and entrepreneurial skills of students and also helps to face the challenges in businesses and grab oppurtunities . The course will help the students to learn various aspects of business administration and management through classroom lectures and practical projects. The course will make the students acquaint with various aspects of the business administration, market, marketing trends,finance, operation etc.
Master of Commerce is two year regular post graduation program under University of Kerala. Department of Commerce offering Master of Commerce as a prestigious PG Programme since 2021. The two year regular course offers best in Commercial knowledge with Financial capabilities along with presentation and leadership skills which will make you best for organisational requirements. We have well qualified, experienced Professors with modern teaching amenities such as digitalised seminar hall for the full fledged requirements of this course. We also provides career and placement support in connection with students plan. We promise the course along with our value addition will make you a Master in Commerce.
The Department of Mass Communication is offering education and training in journalism and mass communication. The department’s diversified curriculum covering Convergent Journalism, TV News & Current Affairs Production, Film & Cultural Studies, Science & Health Communication, and Media and environment offers an edge to its students. It concentrates on developing a critical understanding of the role of the media in contemporary times. The media’s functioning, and its intersections with contemporary society, polity, economy and culture are primary areas of its research concerns. The department engages itself with the constituting and determining factors of media such as its social, regional and language base, commercialization and profit motive, institutionalization and organizational scale, media institutions and media houses, infotainment content and search for alternative niches through new media etc. It promotes inter-disciplinary approaches to study and assess the evolution, role, relevance and impact of media in India. Towards this purpose, it engages closely with scholars working in this field in allied schools and institutions.
